If you read this a while ago, you probably saw my post about the Journal Club. If not, the Nephrology Journal Club is a great excuse to go to fancy restaurants (all different ones around thec city) and eat copious amounts of food that someone making as little pay as I do, can not afford (and you listen to a few talks-- minor details). Delicious, amazing, FREE food. SOLD.

Tonight's dinner was at Crave an "upscale, urban dining environment" in the North part of town. The picture above is where we were seated for the night. There were about 40 of us there and we listened to a talk about Phosphate binders & calcium (yeah, I was a little lost on this topic, too!) and then enjoyed the meal. I had crab cakes, a fish dinner and chocolate brownie with chocolate and peanut butter gelato along with one OJ, one coke, one Shirley Temple and one water. I estimate my meal was about $70 all in all. Insane, but sooo worth it (as long as I wasn't paying!)

The conversation with a few of the med students totally made the night. Unlike everyone else, we were more than happy to talk about the most random of things and spent the entire night laughing! Free food with fun people--- When's the next one??
